Asphalt Patching and Paving

As asphalt pavement ages, its appearance diminishes and cracks develop. Without ongoing maintenance, water may enter through cracks and holes may form. If this happens, the most effective form of repair is to remove and replace the affected area.
Patching is a common asphalt repair solution for areas of pavement with potholes. Potholes occur when water seeps into pavement through unsealed cracks, freezes, and then melts leaving a space. Surrounding pavement collapses and forms a pothole.
Asphalt patching consists of filling the affected areas with hot or cold asphalt mix and leveling to form a smooth surface.
